Arkansas Razorbacks Going Bowling After Win Over La. Tech

With the victory, the Razorbacks reach the six-win threshold required for bowl eligibility. Arkansas finishes the regular season 6-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play.

“I’m proud of our team for the effort and resilience they showed tonight,” said Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman. “Earning a bowl berth is a significant accomplishment, and it’s a reward for all the hard work our players and coaches have put in this season.”

The Razorbacks offense struggled early, but quarterback KJ Jefferson led a key drive in the fourth quarter that resulted in the game-winning field goal by Cam Little. Jefferson finished with 197 passing yards and a touchdown, while Dominique Johnson rushed for 113 yards.

La. Tech threatened to tie the game in the final seconds, but a long field goal attempt sailed wide.

“It was a tough game, but we didn’t give up,” said Arkansas linebacker Bumper Pool. “This bowl berth means a lot to this program and our fans. We’re excited to continue our season and finish strong.”

The Razorbacks’ bowl destination will be determined by the College Football Playoff Committee. The team is projected to play in a mid-tier bowl game, such as the Liberty Bowl or Music City Bowl.

The bowl game will be the Razorbacks’ first since the 2019 Belk Bowl. Arkansas lost to Mississippi State in that game.
