Kevin Stefanski: I Think 'it's Hard In A Losing Effort To Feel Good About Anything'

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is not one to sugarcoat things. After his team’s 27-13 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, Stefanski was blunt in his assessment.

“It’s hard in a losing effort to feel good about anything,” Stefanski said. “We didn’t play well enough in any phase of the game. We didn’t coach well enough, we didn’t play well enough. So, it’s hard to feel good about anything when you lose.”

Stefanski’s frustration was evident throughout the press conference. He was peppered with questions about the Browns’ offensive struggles, and his answers were often short and to the point.

“We just didn’t execute well enough,” Stefanski said when asked about the offense’s inability to sustain drives. “We have to be better.”

Sunday’s loss was the Browns’ fifth in their last six games. The team is now 2-6 on the season, and their playoff hopes are dwindling.

Stefanski admitted that the team’s confidence has taken a hit.

“It’s tough,” Stefanski said. “We’re not playing well enough. We’re not winning. It’s tough on the players, it’s tough on the coaches. But we have to find a way to get better.”

The Browns’ offense has been a major disappointment this season. The team ranks near the bottom of the NFL in several offensive categories, including points per game and yards per game.

Stefanski has not been able to find a solution to the team’s offensive problems. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has struggled, and the running game has been inconsistent.

Stefanski said that the offense needs to be more consistent.

“We need to be able to run the ball more consistently,” Stefanski said. “We need to be able to protect the quarterback better. We need to be able to hit more explosive plays.”

The Browns will face another tough test on Sunday when they travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders. The Raiders are 4-4 on the season, but they have won three of their last four games.

Stefanski knows that his team needs to play better if they want to win in Las Vegas.

“We have to play with a lot more urgency,” Stefanski said. “We have to play with a lot more passion. We have to play with a lot more physicality. We have to find a way to make more plays.”

The Browns are in a tough spot. They are a talented team, but they have not been able to live up to expectations this season.

Stefanski is facing a lot of pressure to turn things around. He needs to find a way to fix the offense and help the team win some games.

If Stefanski can’t get the Browns back on track, his job could be in jeopardy.
