Stanley Tucci, the renowned actor and cookbook author, has revealed that his wife, Felicity Blunt, has forbidden him from cooking a particular dish. Tucci made the admission during an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
The dish that Tucci is no longer allowed to make is “Spaghetti alla Puttanesca.” Puttanesca sauce, a traditional Italian sauce made with tomatoes, olives, capers, and anchovies, is typically served over spaghetti.
Tucci said that his wife banned him from cooking the dish after she suffered a severe allergic reaction to seafood.
Tucci expressed frustration over the ban, saying that he enjoys making the dish. However, he respects his wife’s decision and understands the importance of her health.
“I love cooking puttanesca. It’s one of my favorite dishes to make,” Tucci said. “But Felicity’s allergic to seafood, so I can’t make it anymore. It’s a small price to pay for her health.”
Food allergy specialist Dr. Susan Prescott said that it is important for individuals with food allergies to avoid their allergens.
“Food allergies can be very serious,” Dr. Prescott said. “If someone has a food allergy, it is important for them to avoid the food that they are allergic to, even if it is in small amounts.”
Stanley Tucci’s ban on cooking puttanesca is a reminder of the importance of food safety. While it may be disappointing for Tucci, his wife’s health is the top priority.
