Zvonimir Ivisic Receives NCAA Clearance, Makes Instant Impact for Kentucky
After a lengthy review process, the NCAA cleared Ivisic to play for Kentucky on Wednesday. The ruling was based on a combination of factors, including his academic record and the absence of any violations in international competition.
In his first appearance for the Wildcats, Ivisic played 22 minutes against the University of South Carolina and made an immediate impact. He scored 12 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and blocked 2 shots, showcasing his versatility and skill.
Kentucky head coach John Calipari was effusive in his praise for Ivisic’s performance. “He’s a special player,” Calipari said. “He has a great understanding of the game and an ability to impact the game in many ways.”
NCAA basketball analyst Jay Bilas commented on Ivisic’s impact. “He’s got a chance to be a star in this league,” Bilas said. “His size, athleticism, and skill set make him a unique matchup problem for opponents.”
With Ivisic now eligible to play, Kentucky is considered an even stronger contender to win the NCAA championship. The Wildcats have a talented roster, led by Ivisic, and are now one of the favorites in the country.
